NATURAL DISINFECTANT. PACKS A PUNCH

Updated: Oct 14, 2019

It's true that alcohol has been used for many years as a germ killing agent. Alcohol based mouthwash to kill the germs inside the mouth and alcohol based hand sanitisers. So why not use it in you green cleaning routine? I came up with this recipe when I first started natural cleaning, and I have to say I love it. I use it mainly in the bathroom. After giving the toilet a clean with bicarb I spray this all over the toilet. After using the cream cleaner on sink, bathtub and tiles, I'll give them all a good spray with this, leave for 5 minutes so that it can do it's thing and wipe with a dry cloth. Of course the best alcohol to use is one with a high percentage of alcohol, but thet can get expensive. I find that a large bottle of vodka lasts many many months, if not a whole year with this recipe. Here the recipe, be sure to share your makes with me 😍 Natural homemade disinfectant: 1/4 cup white vinegar 1/4 cup vodka 2 tbsp lemon juice 1 cup distilled or cool boiled water 10 drops tea tree essential oil 10 drops lemon essential oil Combine ingredients into a glass (preferably dark glass) bottle, shake and spray. This should keep upto 3 months or more. You can forgo the white vinegar and lemon juice if you wish and increase the vodka to 1/2 cup.
